The sky's the limit.
At $5,000 per corner, the original fundraising goal for this year's Clean Your Green campaign was $20,000. But that just wasn't enough for Darryl Stewart, Head of the Herd here at IBEX. Frustrated by the reality that there are only four corners in a square, he decided to increase the goal by $5,000 by challenging some members of the Herd and others in the business community to take a Leap of Faith for Habitat. Which means if Winnipeggers are able to help us support our new goal of $25,000, you'll also be helping a group of people face their fears of skydiving. |

Clean Your Green Gala Event |
|
The Clean Your Green Gala Event, in celebration of all those who contributed to the Clean Your Green 2008 campaign, will be held on Thursday, June 12. After a wine and cheese reception, guests will be treated to some comedic relief provided by stand-up superstars Big Daddy Taz and Santo Rizzo. This invitation-only event is an opportunity for members of the IBEX Herd to show their appreciation to this year's Habitat Heroes (those who made a donation of $200 or more to Habitat) and our Green Heroes (who contributed gift-in-kind to the $50,000 landscaping project at the South Osborne Underpass).

Big Daddy Tazz, the star of the IBEX Clean Your Green Gala, surprised everyone in the audience at our 2008 wrap up event when he announced an $800 donation to Habitat for Humanity Winnipeg (HFHW). Add to that additional donations that have trickled in and our final total sits just over $22,000.
Big Daddy was on hand as part of the IBEX Clean Your Green campaign, a grassroots initiative that united the business, social, government and citizen communities that raised $20,200 (now $22,000) for a hardworking and deserving Winnipeg family while transforming the South Osborne Underpass into a bright and vibrant greenspace for the 40,000 motorists and pedestrians who use the underpass every day.
